Fabric features that are not defects but are related to its natural characteristics or production technology:
  • Natural irregularities and slubs – Especially common in linen, wool, and silk. These are due to the structure of the fibers and add a unique character to the fabric.
  • Light fuzz or softness – Characteristic of cashmere, alpaca, mohair, and some types of wool. Over time, a slight "halo" may appear on the surface.
  • Variations in thread thickness or slub weaving – Found in tweed, bouclé, linen, and high-end suiting fabrics.
  • Optical shifts in shade depending on lighting and angle – Typical for velvet, silk, viscose, and fabrics with metallic threads.
  • Slight color differences between fabric batches – Normal for natural materials, especially when dyed manually or with organic pigments.
  • A naturally "alive" fabric texture – Examples include the creased effect of crêpe, the gentle wrinkles of linen, or the soft folds of viscose.

All these features highlight the authenticity and high quality of the fabric rather than being a flaw.
